Over the winter break we had the opportunity to capture the De la rosa family. Their family will soon be celebrating their parents 50th wedding anniversary and asked that we take their family portraits before the big event! They have a large family and it was great getting to meet all of the immediate family members and their extended family members.
Here are a few photos of our time with them….
A couple of weeks ago my wife and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary and her birthday. For some time we have tried to sneak away for some one on one time. I’m sure all of you parents out there can relate. With four kids, work, and all the other daily tasks, its easy to get caught up in being busy all the time. It was nice to slow things down and just enjoy each other.
Since Kingston is still so young we brought him along as we spent the weekend trying out restaurants on our list and locations my wife has wanted to go but we haven’t had time to visit.
Here are a few shots from our weekend:
Kingston’s first visit to Golden Gate Bridge
My wife’s first visit to, “The Stinking Rose” (Kingston’s face says it all about the smell)
Sunset at Pier 39 for their 35th Anniversary (the wife loves fireworks)
My wife’s favorite 49er player, Vernon Davis.
Firework show at Pier 39!
Kingston checking out the sights at Twin Peaks
The Painted Ladies aka as “The Full House” house
Kingston and I enjoying the view in Alamo Square
Yesterday, September 15, 2012 marked 18 years of business for, The Bookworm Educational Supply Store of Vallejo, Ca. The store has been open since 1993 to its local community to provide educational supplies and materials to teachers, parents, students, and more. The Bookworm Educational Supply Educational Supplies was founded by the Orona family and has remained in the family since its start. Over the years the business has been able to continue through economically hard times, several businesses like it going out of business, and all the other pitfalls of owning ones own business. They attribute their success not to themselves but to a greater calling. When they began their business they had two goals in mind, to help the community but also to dedicate their business to the Lord. Yesterday’s 18th Anniversary included door busters, desserts, crafts, discount and savings on special items and an array of special prizes for customers who have earned raffle tickets. The winners shall be announced soon! Here are a few pictures from today’s event:
In 2003 they opened a sister store located right next door called, The Bookworm Learning Center which offers one-to-one tutoring for children and adults of all ages and levels. If you would like to ask information about tutoring for your children you can visit their website at @ http://the-bookworm.net
Last Thursday I had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends. I’ve known David for several years from serving in youth ministry together. I was one of his groomsmen when he tied the knot with his wife, Emmie five years ago. What I admire about this couple is the time they take to serve the youth at their local church. They don’t use marriage as an excuse to take a break but rather they use their marriage as a reason to serve. When they contacted me to take their anniversary shoot I couldn’t believe that 5 years had already passed. It seemed like yesterday when David and Emmie were taking their wedding vows before family and friends. It seems so sudden that I’m witnessing them celebrate their 5 year Wedding Anniversary at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. They are both die hard Giants fans so this was the perfect venue to capture 5 years of marriage.
Here’s a preview from David and Emmie’s 5 Year Anniversary Session 🙂
