Mr. + Mrs. Campas

Mr. + Mrs. Campas’ big day finally arrived. It was such a blessing witnessing all of the events as they approached their big day. They married at the beautiful Palms Event Center. We couldn’t be happier for these two as they begin this new season in their life. Congrats, Mr. + Mrs. Campas we are so blessed  by you both!

Here are a few photos from they big day….

Lane.

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of meeting and capturing the Lane Family. Their children, Ava and Julian were such naturals in front of the camera and their personalities made for such a fun session. We enjoyed capturing this fun family as we walked around Balboa Park. Here are a few pictures from our time together….

Mark + Juby.

I’ve known Mark for many years now and I consider him to be one of my closest friends. He was recently in town and asked us to capture his engagement pictures before he headed to his new assignment. Here are a few pictures from our time together….

This past weekend my wife + I decided to take pictures of the kids since we realized we had not taken a recent one of all of the kids since Kingston’s arrival. We noticed we had photos but either one or more of them was missing to make it complete! I’m sure as you know with everything going on time seems to pass at a furious rate and before you know it, you look up, and bam, months have gone by! Well, I guess my wife and I forgot to look up because Kingston just turned 5 months, Annabelle turned 5, Franchesca turned 7, Chris is getting ready to turn 14 + graduate, and my wife just celebrated her birthday. We have been extremely blessed with all of the milestones both big + small. My hope is to just enjoy all of the things happening, even the things that seem ordinary because if things keep up at this pace its going to go by way too fast. Here are some photos of our weekend and my blessings….

Celebrating Kingston Riley

Last month my wife and I had the privilege of celebrating the expected arrival of our baby boy, Kingston Riley. We spent as many couples do a lot of time looking up definitions of different possible names for our baby boy. We ended up with Kingston Riley.  The name Kingston means,”out of  the kingdom” and Riley means,” courageous, brave and valiant.” There’s no doubt in our hearts, that this baby is straight from God. The trials and circumstances that we faced to come to this day are only because of HIS mercy and grace. Months of ideas, errands, planning, and help from friends all came to fruition on this special day. We want to say, “Thank You”  to all the friends and family that were able to make this day special.

I want to give a special thanks to our friends,Chanelle of http://juststickaforkinit.com and Mary  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Balloon-Works/607383309288268?fref=ts for their talents and hard work.

Please visit their sites to see the talents they give to their communities. I would highly recommend their services for your special event.

Jason + Nicole Goltiao / Moraga, California

Happy Holidays! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted but I wanted to at least post pictures of my brother and sister in law’s wedding, Jason and Nicole Goltiao before the start of the New Year. The wedding took place at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. This wedding was a lot of fun to shoot. Every detail of this wedding fit their personalities. I’m excited to see what God has for these newlyweds!

33 Days Away till Jay + Nikki’s Big Day

A few months ago I captured Jay & Nikki’s “Save the Date” pictures. A few weeks later I was blessed yet again to capture their engagement shots. Again, they came with a great wardrobe and site of choice so this second shoot was done in a snap. I know I’m late getting these pictures up on my blog but better late than never, right?

Here are a few pictures from Jay & Nikki’s engagement shoot:

A Little Over a Year Ago….

A little over a year ago I was on a road trip with one of my best friends Mark Benton II.  Our trip began in San Francisco, California and ended in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Mark is part of the army and was to be stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska only to find out he would be deployed to the Middle East of Afghanistan a few months later.  Although it has been difficult for Mark to be away from everyone and everything he knows I’ve been able to be encouraged by his testimony as he is out there. You can’t help but gain perspective when you speak to him because he’s facing something I will never understand. It is almost a year since I took this trip with him and I’m happy to say that Mark will be coming home in a few days. It was one of the best times of my life and the memories we shared will always stick to me.  I took thousands of pictures but of course I can’t post all of them so here’s a few from our EPIC trip.

Our first stop was at a gas station close to Mt. Shasta, Oregon…

Leaving Seattle a few homeless guys wave goodbye…

I don’t what the heck this is but it’s in Vancouver…

A stop on the side of the road…Somewhere in Canada??

Somewhere in Alaska…

A little excited in Alaska…just a little bit.

Local wildlife in Alaska…

On the road driving through the snow blizzard Alaska…

Traffic…we gets cars and people. Alaska gets Elk.

Somewhere in Alaska…For about an hour maybe 2 cars passed by while we took some pictures on this bridge.

Epic View…

Silohuette.

A sight that’s a lot better in person.

Buffalo

A little too cold for me.

Point of View.

Faith, Love and Hope. Words my boy lives by.

University of Alaska. Looks like an igloo.

Bench at UOA

Failed attempt at night shots….A little too cold for us. Our cameras started to freeze up.

Breakfast @ Denny’s. Fairbanks, Alaska.

The smallest airport I have ever seen. Time to fly back home to the Bay Area.

Something that I will always take from this trip is that you can see the world, experience the greatest sights and sounds, but if you can’t share it with your loved ones, what’s the point?  Those who know me, know I could care less about traveling and seeing the world unless I get to share it with the people I love.  I’ll never forget the discussions, shared while traveling for hours at a time, hitting city to city each day, and the laughs shared along the way.

I’m just glad I had the opportunity to share this trip with a friend who is not only an uncle to my children, but a brother in life.

I know I don’t speak for myself when I say, “Welcome home Mark.”

“Welcome home.”
